Winterfest 2015 Rendezvous -- February 27 - March 1, 2015

The polar campers had a great time at this 2015 event with nightly temps reaching -9 degrees.  By popular demand, we have added this new event for our winter-loving reenactors and friends!  Set-up your camp outside ...or bring your bedding and sleep inside the warm Catfish Inn, new Longhouse or Trapper's Cabin.  Inside spaces are limited, so please call in advance to make reservations.  $15 camp fee and bring your own drinking water.

Ice fishing (catch & release if ice is good)

The Center is located at 16486 Wapakoneta Road, between the historic Victorian village of Grand Rapids in northwest Ohio, and north of Rt. 6. The Center is an ideal outdoor living history site with its 40 acres of Black Swamp woods, two-acre pond and open meadows. The Center boasts the only site to have a recreated 50’ Woodland Indian longhouse and 20’ wigwam, a Scottish Tavern, Trappers Lodge, Blacksmith Shop, 214 year-old Pioneer Log house, Trading Post and Marlow Education Hall in northwest Ohio. The Center’s facilities are open for school tours, scout events and festivals on an arranged basis.
